"I love weddings and everything about them. The way they bring people together, the way they stir up a hundred emotions and the way they make you squeeze your close ones just that little bit tighter. A wedding day is one of life’s greatest moments and I consider it to be a privilege to be able to record it for you. I'm thrilled each time a couple invites me to photograph their wedding."
Meet Julian
Ever since I was 10 years old, I seem to have had a camera in my hands. Since 2012 I've specialised in wedding and portrait photography, for which I've developed a real passion.
My sole aim is to record your special day in a way that you'll remember fondly and to give you a set of beautiful images that you'll treasure forever.
Photography aside I am a husband to Julie and a Dad to Charlotte, Emily & Marcus. We also have a menagerie of animals including a dog, cat, horse and rabbit!
Making people feel comfortable and relaxed is vital when creating beautiful images, so my open and warm approach is key. Creating a bond with you is how I understand what you want, so that you can trust me with the most important day of your life. Using a natural and relaxed approach, I blend in with your guests and am there for your most cherished moments.
My style
My style is unobtrusive and relaxed, aiming to create beautiful, natural images without ordering everyone around (I’ve heard tales of photographers asking for couples to walk down the aisle three times to get the perfect shot – that is definitely not my style!). I pick up the details and capture the key moments and emotions as your day unfolds. I shoot mainly in an unposed, documentary style, but usually take some more traditional group shots. I recommend keeping these to 10 or so groups to maximise the time you spend with your guests. I also like to spend some time away from the guests taking some shots of just the two of you.
Before the big day we’ll have a good chat, and I’ll want to hear all about the details of the day – I’ll probably ask about more than I strictly need for the photos but knowing the special touches will help me get to know you and to learn more about what part of the day is particularly important for you.
After the wedding, I’ll edit your images and aim to get a ‘sneak peek’ of some of my favourite of your wedding photographs within a couple of weeks. I’ll aim to put the full set of photographs up in a password protected gallery on my website within 4-5 weeks of the wedding. If you like I’ll also send you a USB stick with high-resolution files for all the final images.
Some of my work
To give you some idea of the wedding photographs I've taken, please have a good look around my gallery. I've also been featured recently in Kentish Ceremony Magazine, so please do take a look!
In order to offer a bespoke service at each and every wedding, I take a limited number of bookings per year. So please get in touch now to check my availability.
